Overview
StreemPay is an early-stage payments startup rethinking how digital publishers monetize content. Built on a “pay-as-you-read” model, it offers an alternative to rigid paywalls—giving readers control over what they pay for, while helping publishers monetize high-intent, casual readership. Through a lightweight and intuitive widget embedded directly into publisher sites, StreemPay creates a frictionless payment experience aligned with modern content consumption habits. I was brought in as the fractional Chief Design Officer to own the full redesign and rebrand of the StreemPay product—from UX strategy and product workflows to UI, branding, and web presence. My focus was to ensure the platform felt credible, modern, and seamless, bridging the needs of two distinct user groups: media publishers and end readers. This included reworking the publisher dashboard, redesigning the reader widget experience, refreshing the brand identity, and launching a new marketing website to support sales and growth.
Key feature // 1
Simplifying complexity for publishers
Working closely with the founding team, I designed the publisher onboarding flow—introducing progressive disclosure to reduce cognitive load. Key inputs like payment caps, anchor pricing, and article exclusions were restructured for clarity, enabling faster setup and greater confidence for first-time users.
Key feature // 2
Designing transparency into every read
The StreemPay widget surfaces key microtransaction data—showing readers exactly how much they’ve spent on an article and their cumulative spend with the publisher that month. This real-time feedback loop builds transparency, promotes trust, and empowers readers to make informed decisions about how they consume and support journalism.
Key feature // 3
Elevating brand through design
I redesigned the StreemPay website with a clean, minimalist UI to project clarity and credibility. The new design positions StreemPay as both a trustworthy payments solution and a premium partner for media publishers—balancing visual simplicity with commercial impact.

Positioned for Growth
I lead the design of StreemPay’s end-to-end experience—from rebranding and dashboard UX to a high-converting website and embeddable reader widget. The new design system balances trust and innovation, aligning with the company’s strategic positioning in the publisher market. By simplifying key workflows and elevating the brand, the redesign lays the foundation for partnership conversations, product launches, and long-term growth.
Conclusion
The StreemPay redesign was a strategic rethinking of how value is exchanged between publishers and readers. By delivering a frictionless, trust-led experience, I helped transform a complex fintech concept into a product that publishers were proud to embed—and readers found intuitive, unobtrusive, and empowering. The result is a strong design foundation for StreemPay’s next stage of growth across the media industry.
